Vegetable Kuzhi Paniyaram Recipe

Ingredients for Vegetable Kuzhi Paniyaram Recipe

  • Idli batter – 1/2 cup
  • Carrot – 1 Tbsp (grated)
  • Coriander leaves – 1 handful (finely chopped)
  • Ginger – 1/2 inch piece (finely chopped)
  • Refined oil – 3 Tbsp
  • Onion – 1 Tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Cabbage – 1 Tbsp (grated)
  • Mint leaves – 1 handful
  • Green chilli – 1 (finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste


  • Take a mixing bowl and add idly batter in it
  • Then add onions, carrot, cabbage, coriander leaves, mint leaves, ginger, green chilli and salt to taste in the same bowl
  • Mix well all the ingredients properly and leave the batter aside for 15-20 minutes so that they get nicely fermented
  • Meanwhile, grease the compartments of the Paniyaram maker with a little-refined oil and pour the idly batter into them by using spoons
  • Heat the container on medium flame, cover with a lid and steam the Paniyarams till they become fluffy
  • Once they are done take out the Paniyaram with the help of a knife or a spoon and transfer them to a serving plate
  • Serve hot with chutney
