Sheer Khurma Recipe Step by Step

Ingredients for Sheer Khurma


  • full cream milk – 5cups
  • vermicelli – 75 grams (broken into small pieces)
  • Sugar to taste
  • chopped dates – ½ cup
  • Green cardamom powder – ½ tspn
  • Raisins – 6
  • Cashewnuts ,badam, pista, – 1 cup
  • Ghee as required



  • Dry roast cashew nuts, badam, pista, raisins in ghee
  • Fry vermicelli in ghee and keep it aside
  • Soak chopped dates in milk and keep it aside
  • Take a wide pan and boil milk until it become thickens to consistency of cream
  • Now add vermicelli in boiling milk and cook until vermicelli is well cooked
  • Now add sugar to taste and cardamom powder, boil for 3-4 mins
  • Add ghee roasted nuts, raisins and soaked dates, boil for more 5 mins
  • Now switch off flame and serve it in a serving bowl
  • Garnish with few ghee roasted nuts and serve hot or chilled
