Ingredients for pudina chutney


  • Pudina – 2cups
  • Green chilli – 5 (roughly chopped)
  • Tamarind – small piece
  • Onion – 1 (roughly chopped)
  • Garlic – 4 cloves
  • Ground nuts – ½ cup
  • Oil- 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste



  •  Soak tamarind in water until it become soft, extract juice, filter it and keep it aside
  • Heats a pan, dry roast peanuts until golden keep it aside to cool
  • In the same pan add oil, garlic, green chilli, onions and sauté for 2-3 mins
  • Then add pudina and fry for 3mins and keep it aside to cool
  • Take blender add peanuts and pudina mixture in the blender and make a smooth paste of it
  • Add tamarind water and salt to taste and blend for 30sec
  • Transfer chutney to a bowl
  • Serve with boiled rice, dosa, chapatti or idli
