How to Make Prawn Koliwada Recipe

Ingredients for Prawn Koliwada Recipe


  • Prawns (medium size) – 16-18 (peeled and deveined)
  • Gram flour – 1/2 cup
  • Roasted Cumin powder – ½ tsp
  • Red chilli powder to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  • Curd – 2tbsp
  • Oil for deep-frying
  • Chaat masala – ½ tsp
  • Lemon juice – 2tbsp



  • Take a bowl add gram flour, cumin powder, red chilli powder, salt to taste, ginger garlic paste, curd and two tablespoons of water make a thick batter of it
  • Add prawns pieces in thick batter and marinate the prawns for half an 30 mins
  • Heat oil in a deep fry pan and deep-fry the prawns till it become crisp on the outside
  • Drain on tissue paper
  • Serve it on a serving plate, sprinkled some chaat masala and lemon juice on it
  • Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney
