Poondu Milagai Podi Recipe (Garlic Powder)

Ingredients for Poondu (Garlic) Milagai Podi

  • Garlic cloves – 10 to 15 (don’t remove the skin)
  • Red Chillies –10 to 15
  • Oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste


  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan, fry the red chilies and allow it to cool.
  • Add salt and blend it to a coarse powder.
  • Before removing add the garlic cloves and blend only one round.
  • Poondu milagai podi is ready to be served, serve with idli/dosa.
  • Add a teaspoon of gingelly oil while serving
