Pepper Chicken Recipe South Indian Style

Ingredients for Pepper Chicken Recipe

  • Chicken – 1 kg
  • Curd – 1 cup
  • Ginger-garlic and green chilli paste -3 tbsp
  • Pepper – 2 tbsp
  • Onions – 4 (finely chopped)
  • Coriander leaves – ½ cup (finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • Lemon juice – 1tbsp
  • Oil – 2 tbsp


  • Take a bowl add chicken pieces, ginger-garlic and green chilli paste, curd and salt mix well and marinate it for a hour
  • Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions and fry them for a min
  • Add marinated chicken and fry them for 5 minutes
  • Now add pepper powder and stir-fry for a minute
  • Sprinkle some water and let the chicken pieces to cook
  • Finally, add lemon juice and sprinkle coriander leaves, mix well
  • Turn off the flame and serve the pepper chicken in a serving bowl
  • Serve hot
