Onion Pakoda Recipe Step by Step

Pakodi is the best snack to be served in the evening time, instead of using onions you can also use potatoes to make Pakodi

Ingredients for Pakodi Recipe

  • Gram flour – 1 cup
  • Chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Pepper – ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Mint and green chilli paste – 1 cup
  • Onion – 2 (chopped into big pieces)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Water as needed


  • Take a bowl add Gram flour, chilli powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, mint green chilli paste and salt
  • Add water as needed and mix well to make a perfect Pakoda batter
  • Keep this batter aside
  • Meanwhile, heat oil for deep fry
  • Dip chopped onions in the prepared batter and gently drop in the hot oil
  • Deep fry it until they become golden brown colour
  • Transfer on a tissue paper to absorb excess oil
  • Serve it on a serving plate
  • Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney
