Motichoor Ladoo Recipe Step by Step

Ingredients for Motichoor Ladoo

  • Gram flour (besan) – 2 cup
  • Green cardamom – 1 teaspoon
  • Edible food color – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Milk – 1/2 Ltr
  • Ghee – 3 cup
  • Baking soda – 1 pinch

For The Main Dish

  • Sugar – 3 cup
  • Milk – 1/4 cup
  • Water – 4 cup
  • Ghee – 3 cup

For Garnishing

  • Pistachio – few
  • Badam – few



  • Heat water in a large pan over medium flame and start making sugar syrup
  • Add sugar and stir until sugar fully dissolved. Bring it to a boil
  • Add milk to it and cook on low flame for 3 to 5 minutes
  • While boiling, if scum appears, remove it. Boil until it has reached one string consistency. Then, add cardamom powder and orange food color. Stir well and keep aside
  • Now, in a large bowl add besan flour and milk mix them well until smooth. Add baking soda to it and stir well
  • Heat ghee in a large deep frying non-stick pan
  • Place a perforated ladle on top of the oil and add some of the batters and allow them to fall into the hot oil and cook until golden and soft. Place them on a tissue to remove excess oil from boondi.
  • Mix them in the sugar syrup and soak them for an hour, till soft
  • Allow boondi to cool slightly and shape them into small or medium laddoos
  • Serve the laddoo garnished with pistachio, badam or any of your likes
  • Tasty ladoos are ready to Serve or you can also store them in an airtight container.
