How to Make Lauki Raita Recipe

Ingredients for Lauki Raita Recipe


  • Bottle gourd (lauki/doodhi) – 1 cup (peeled and grated)
  • Curd – 2 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder  to taste
  • Roasted cumin powder – ½ tsp



  • Boil the grated lauki with a little salt for 5 minutes
  • Drain out water from lauki and let the lauki to cool
  • Whisk chilled curd and mix salt and red chilli powder to taste
  • Add boiled lauki in curd mixture and mix well
  • Also add cumin powder and mix well
  • Serve lauki raita in a serving bowl
