How to Make Jhangore ki Kheer

Ingredients of Jhangore ki Kheer

  • Barnyard millet – 300 grams (washed and soaked for some time)
  • Milk – 5 cups
  • Raisins – 30 grams
  • Sugar – 150 grams
  • Cashews – 30 grams
  • kewra essence – 2 drops


  • Take a deep pan and boil milk on medium flame
  • Gently add soaked jhangora in the boiling milk, stir constantly. Make sure that no lumps are formed
  • Now, add sugar and mix well. Cook it on a medium flame until the sugar dissolves completely
  • Finally, add kewra essence and mix well
  • Cook the kheer until you get the desired consistency
  • Turn off the flame and garnish it with raisins and cashews
  • Serve it in a serving bowl and serve warm
