Ingredients for Shahi Paneer Recipe

 

  • Paneer  –  400 grams
  • Onions – 2 (finely chopped)
  • Cashew nuts  – 20
  • Tomatoes  – 5 (finely chopped)
  • Red chilli powder to taste
  • Coriander powder to taste
  • Garam masala powder to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cream  – ½ cup
  • Kasuri methi powder 1 teaspoon
  • Green cardamom powder – ¼ tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Butter – 2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped (for garnishing)

 

Method:

  • Take a pan heat some oil, add onions and cashew nuts and sauté them lightly.
  • Add tomatoes and cook them for 10-12 minutes
  • Add red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt according to taste and add turmeric powder stir well
  • Now take a blender transfer this mixture into the blender and make a smooth paste of it
  • Take a pan add some butter and masala paste
  • Cook for 10 mins on medium flame
  • Now add cream and add paneer pieces stir well
  • Now add  kasuri methi powder, garam masala powder, green cardamom powder and cook for 2-3 mins
  • Serve it in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped coriander leaves
  • Serve hot with chapatti, rotis and paratha
