Ingredients for Sambhar Masala Recipe

  • Coriander Seeds – 1 cup
  • Curry Leaves – 1Tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 ½ Tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds – 2 Tsp
  • Dry chilies – 13
  • Curry leaves (dried) – 20
  • Asafoetida – ¾ Tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ½ Tsp

Method

  • Heat a kadai
  • Dry roast the coriander seeds, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and whole dry red chilies on a medium flame.
  • Then keep it aside to cool and grind them to curry leaves, asafoetida and turmeric powder.
  • Sambhar masala powder is ready, Cool it and store it in an airtight container.
