Peanut Onion Tomato Chutney

Ingredients for Peanut Onion Tomato Chutney

 

  • Mustard seeds – ¼ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Tamarind juice – ¼ cup
  • Tomato – 2 (chopped)
  • Onion – 1 (chopped)
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring
  • Green chilli – 4
  • Garlic – 4 cloves
  • Cumin seeds – ¼ tsp
  • Peanuts – 2 tbsp
  • Red chilli – 2
  • Oil – 3tbsp
  • Urad daal – ¼ tsp

 

Method:

  • Heat oil in a pan, add red chilli, peanuts, garlic cloves, cook this for 1 min
  • Add green chilli, onions and cook till onions turn brown in colour
  • Add tomatoes, salt, tamarind juice, put the lid and cook it for 3-4 minutes
  • Turn off the flame and keep it aside, let it cool
  • Now put into the blender make paste of it
  • For tempering heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, Urad daal and curry leaves
  • Serve it with tiffens
