Paneer Masala Recipe Step by Step

Ingredients for Paneer Masala

 

  • Paneer – 250 grams
  • Corn flour powder – 1 (dissolved in ½ cup of water)
  • Salt to taste
  • Chilli powder to taste
  • Pepper – ¼ tsp
  • Garam masala powder – ½ tsp
  • Kasuri methi – 1 tsp
  • Fresh cream – 3 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves – 2tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Water as required

For paste:

  • Ghee -1 tbsp
  • Black cardamom – 1
  • Onions – 1 (roughly chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Green chilli – 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Tomato – 2 (roughly chopped)
  • Curd – ¼ cup

Method:

  • Heat ghee in a pan add black cardamom, onions, ginger garlic paste, green chillies and salt sauté until onions become soft
  • Add tomatoes and salt to taste mix well and cook until tomato become mushy
  • Add curd and cook for 30sec then switch off flame and blend this mixture in a blender and make a smooth paste of it
  • Keep this paste aside
  • Heat the same pan, pour prepared puree, add some water for gravy and cook for 5 mins
  • Add corn flour powder (mixed in ½ cup of water) stir well
  • Add chilli powder, pepper powder, garam masalaand slt to taste
  • Mix well and cook for 3 mins
  • Add paneer, kasuri methi and cook until paneer pieces are well cooked
  • Finally add fresh cream and serve it in a serving bowl
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot
