Paneer Korma Recipe Step by Step

Ingredients for Paneer Korma

 

  • Paneer – 250 grams (cut in cubes)
  • Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
  • Fresh curd – ½ cup
  • Fresh coconut – ½ cup (grated)
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Green chilli – 2 (finely chopped)
  • Cashew nuts – 10
  • Bay leaf – 1
  • Green cardamom – 1
  • Black pepper corn – 3
  • Turmeric – 2 pinch
  • Chilli powder to taste
  • Coriander powder to taste
  • Sugar – 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required
  • Oil – 3 tbsp
  • Cashew nuts (ghee roasted) – 8 (for garnishing)

 

Method:

  • Take a blender add curd, coconut, ginger garlic paste, green chilli and cashew nuts blend them all and make smooth thick paste transfer it to a small bowl and keep it aside
  • Take pan add 1 tsp oil and shallow fry paneer pieces until they become golden, transfer them to a plate and  keep them aside
  • In the same pan heat remaining oil, add bay leaf, green cardamom, black peppercorns and onions saute until onions turns golden
  • Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder stir well
  • Add paste (we prepared before), sugar and salt to taste mix well
  • Add required amount of water stir occasionally and cook for 5 mins on medium flame
  • Finally add paneer pieces and cook until paneer pieces are well cooked
  • Serve it in a serving bowl
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves, ghee roasted cashew nutsand Serve hot with chapati and paratha
