Paneer Bhurji Gravy Recipe

Ingredients for Paneer Bhurji Gravy

 

  • Paneer – 250 grams (crumbled)
  • Onion – 2 (finely chopped)
  • Tomatoes – 2 (finely chopped)
  • Green chillies – 1 (finely chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Fresh curd – 3 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Chilli powder to taste
  • Coriander powder to taste
  • Cumin powder – 1tsp
  • Garam masla powder to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required
  • Butter/ oil – 2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped

Spices for paneer bhurji

  • Cinnamon – 1 inch
  • Cloves – 3
  • Green cardamom – 2
  • Black peppercorns – 5
  • Indian bay leaf – 2

Method:

  • Take a pan, heat butter/ oil in pan
  • Add cinnamon stick, cloves, green cardamom, black peppercorns, Indian bay leaf and saute until the spices become aromatic
  • Now add onions and stir till it become light golden
  • Add green chillies and ginger garlic paste and fry till aroma of ginger garlic paste disappear
  • Add tomatoes and fry for few mins
  • Add coriander powder, cumin powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder and garam masala according to taste
  • Stir the spices well
  • Add curd and fry, add water as required,
  • Add chopped coriander leaves and stir well
  • Bring curry to a simmer
  • Now add crumbled paneer and salt to taste
  • Cook for 2 mins
  •  Serve it in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped coriander leaves
  • Serve hot with chapati, roti and paratha
