Methi Chaman Recipe – Indian Cheese with green sauce

Ingredients for Methi Chaman – Indian Cheese with green sauce

  • Cream – 2 Tbsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 Tsp
  • Butter salted – 1 Tbsp
  • Mustard oil – 1 Tbsp
  • Green chilies – 7 numbers (sliced)
  • Onion – 1 numbers (finely chopped)
  • Ginger powder – 1/2 Tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 Tsp
  • Sugar – 1/2 Tsp
  • Salt to taste.
  • Garlic – 5 numbers (crushed)
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1/2 Tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 Tsp
  • Garam masala (cinnamon stick 1 inch, cardamom, cloves) – 3 numbers
  • Spinach (Palak) – 5 bunch
  • Methi leaves – 5 bunch
  • Paneer – 1 cup (sliced)
  • Coriander leaves – 1 bunch (chopped)

Method

  • Firstly wash and Boil the Methi & palak and blend it to a coarse paste.
  • Heat a pan on medium flame and add mustard oil, garam masala spices, cumin seeds, onion and cook till the onions become golden brown colour
  • Then add garlic, turmeric powder, butter, ginger garlic paste & green chillies, saute well
  • Add salt to taste and mix well
  • Now add the methi and palak paste & sugar, mix well then add coriander powder, ginger powder cook until oil oozes out, cook it on a low flame.
  • After methi has cooked, add water as required, cream, mix well then add paneer pieces, cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • Finally garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti, pulka or naan
