Matar Paneer Recipe Restaurant Style

Ingredients for Matar Paneer

 

  • Paneer – 300 grams (sliced)
  • Fresh matar (peas) – 1 cup
  • Water as required
  • Cumin seeds – ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Fresh cream (Malai) – 2tsp
  • Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • Oil/ ghee – 2 tsp
  • Chilli powder to taste
  • Garam masala to taste
  • Salt to taste

Ingredients for masala paste

  • Tomatoes – 3(finely chopped)
  • Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
  • Green chillies – 2 (finely chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves – 2 tsp (roughly chopped)
  • Cashews – 12
  • Peppercorns – 5
  • Cloves – 3
  • Cinnamon stick – ½ inch
  • Coriander seeds – 1tsp

Method:

Preparation for masala paste

Take a blender and blend all the ingredients mentioned in masala paste make a smooth mixture of it and keep it aside

Preparation for matar paneer

  • Take cooker heat oil/ ghee add cumin seeds saute till they splutter
  • Add masla paste and cook it for few mins on medium flame
  • Add all dry spice powder and mix well
  • Cook till oil separates from gravy
  • Now add fresh cream and stir well
  • Then add fresh matar and stir again
  • Add required amount of water and salt
  • Cover cooker tightly and pressure cook till peas are well cooked
  • Now add paneer cubes and cook for 2-3 mins on low flame
  • Sprinkles chopped coriander leaves and serve the gravy in a serving bowl
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves, Serve hot with chapati, rotis and rice
