Malai Kulfi Recipe at Home

Ingredients for Malai Kulfi Recipe

  • Full cream Milk – 1 liter
  • Sugar – 1/2 cup (adjust to taste)
  • Cardamom powder – ½ Tsp
  • Pistachio – 8 pieces (finely chopped)
  • Cashew nuts – 8 pieces (finely chopped)

Method

  • Heat milk in a wide pan on medium flame and stir occasionally so that it does not stick to the bottom of pan
  • Boil the milk on low flame until it is reduced to half
  • Once it is reduced add sugar to taste, pistachio, cashew nuts, and cardamom powder and stir well
  • Continue to boil the milk on medium flame till it is reduced to 1/4 of original quantity
  • Once the milk is reduced to 1/4, the malai kulfi is ready, keep it aside and allow the kulfi mixture to cools down completely
  • Now Pour the kulfi mixture in kulfi moulds and place the moulds in deep freezer and let it get set for about 7-8 hrs or overnight
  • Finally yummy malai kulfi is ready to be served
  • Unmounted the kulfi and serve chilled immediately
