Kadai Paneer Gravy Recipe

Ingredients for kadai paneer gravy

 

  • Paneer – 300 grams
  • Capsicum – 1 (sliced)
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  • Green chillies – 2 (finely chopped)
  • Onions – 2 (finely chopped)
  • Tomatoes – 7 (2 finely chopped, 5 tomatoes for puree)
  • Garam masala powder to taste
  • Kasuri methi – 1 tsp
  • Water as required
  • Cream – 3 tsp
  • Butter/ ghee as required
  • Corianders few (finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste

 

For kadai masala

  • Coriander seeds – 5tsp
  • Dry red chillies – 4 to 5

Method:

  • Take a pan roast coriander seeds and dry chillies keep them aside when spices cool grind them and make fine powder
  • Take 5 tomatoes and make puree of them and keep it aside
  • Now take a pan heat butter/ghee, add onions and ginger garlic paste and sauté till raw aroma of ginger garlic paste disappears
  • Add freshly grained coriander and red chilli powder, green chillies and mix well
  • Now add finely chopped tomatoes and stir well for 2-3 mins and add tomato puree in it and stir fry for few mins
  • Add capsicum and fry on medium flame for 2 mins then add required amount of water and continue to simmer for more 8 mins
  • Add kasuri methi and garam masala powder stir well and add paneer pieces
  • Once the paneer is cooked add cream and serve the gravy in a serving bowl
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot
