Fodni Mirchi Tempered Green Chillies – Fried Green Chillies Indian

Ingredients used in Fodni Mirchi Tempered Green Chillies

 

  • Hing – ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1tsp
  • Broken mustard powder – ½ tsp
  • Green chilies – 6-8
  • Black salt (kali namak) – 1 pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 4 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1tsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp

 

Method:

  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds let it crackle then add turmeric powder and hing stir continuously to avoid burning
  • Add salt and black salt stir well
  • Add broken mustard (generally used in pickles) and saute it for a 30 sec
  • Add chillies and mix well
  • Cook until the skin of the chillies becomes soften
  • Finally sprinkle lemon juice in pan, toss for 2-3 times
  • Serve it with chapatti or rice or with curry
