Ingredients used in Fodni Mirchi Tempered Green Chillies
- Hing – ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1tsp
- Broken mustard powder – ½ tsp
- Green chilies – 6-8
- Black salt (kali namak) – 1 pinch
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 4 tbsp
- Mustard seeds – 1tsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds let it crackle then add turmeric powder and hing stir continuously to avoid burning
- Add salt and black salt stir well
- Add broken mustard (generally used in pickles) and saute it for a 30 sec
- Add chillies and mix well
- Cook until the skin of the chillies becomes soften
- Finally sprinkle lemon juice in pan, toss for 2-3 times
- Serve it with chapatti or rice or with curry
