Ingredients for Dum Ka Murgh Recipe

  • Chicken – 1 kg
  • Cinnamon stick – 2 inch
  • Green Cardamom – 6
  • Black Cardamom – 6
  • Cloves – 4
  • Poppy Seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Cashew Nuts – 1 tbsp
  • Sunflower Seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Onion – 1 cup (Browned)
  • Green Chillies – 3
  • Mint Leaves – 1 tbsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp
  • Curd – 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Chilli Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Saffron strands – 4-5 (soak them in water)
  • Coriander Leaves – 1 tbsp
  • Ginger – 1 inch
  • Lemon – 2
  • Oil – 2 tbsp

Method

  • Blend the cinnamon stick, green cardamoms, cloves, black cardamoms in a blender and keep it aside
  • Soak the poppy seeds, cashew nuts and sunflower seeds in warm water and then grind it to a fine paste
  • Now blend the browned onions, green chillies, mint leaves and little water, make a smooth paste of it
  • Take a bowl add curd, cashew nut paste, ginger garlic paste and mix well
  • Add salt, chilli powder, onion paste and mix it again
  • Now add the chicken pieces and mix
  • Add saffron water, coriander leaves, lemon juice and freshly crushed garam masala powder and mix well
  • Allow the chicken pieces to marinate for 30 minutes
  • Transfer the marinated chicken to a microwave ovenproof glass bowl. Cover it with a lid
  • Cook it in the microwave at micro high for 10 minutes. Lower the power to half and let it cook for another 10 minutes
