Corn Fritters Indian Recipe

Ingredients for corn fritters

 

  • Sweet corn – 2 cups
  • Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
  • Baking soda – ½ tsp
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Green chilli – 2 (finely chopped)
  • Besan – 2 tbsp
  • Maida – 1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder – ½ tsp
  • Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Milk – 2 tbsp
  • Chilli powder to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

 

Method:

  • Heat 2tbsp of oil in a pan add onion, garlic, green chilli and sweet corn stir fry for 2-3 mins keep it aside and let it cool
  • Take a blender add fried sweet corn mixture and make a smooth paste of it keep it aside
  • Take a bowl add besan, maida, milk, baking soda, cumin powder, coriander leaves, chilli powder, salt and sweet corn paste mix well and make small balls
  • Heat oil in a kadai for deep fry
  • Drop fritter batter gentle into the hot oil, deep fry till it become golden color
  • Drain on tissue papper
  • Serve hot on a serving plate with tomato ketchup or with chutney
