List of mantras that to be chanted in deepavali pooja

“Om sarvebhyo gurubhyo namah |
Om sarvebhyo devebhyo namah ||
Om sarvebhyo brahmanebhyo namah ||
Prarambha karyam nirvighnamastu |
Subham sobhanamastu |
Ista devata kuladevata suprasanna varada bhavatu ||
Anujnam dehi ||”

 

Deep Sthapana

Deep sthapana is lighting up the lamps. It is the way we pray God to invite enormous prosperity at your home and to remove darkness or evil influence away from your life.

“Atha devasya vama bhage dipa sthapanam karisye”

light the lamp on the left side of the goddess picture, if you are having two oil lamps you can place both of them on either side of goddess idol/picture

Achamanam

Take full spoon of water, sip it and repeat the same process for three times with each Mantra outlined below and at the end wash your hands

“Om Kesavaya svaha | Om narayanaya svaha | Om madhavaya svaha”

 

Do Namskaram with each of the following mantra given below

“Om govimdaya namaha |

om visnave namaha |

om madhusudanaya namaha |

om trivikramaya namaha |

om vamanaya namaha |

om sridharaya namaha|

om hrsikesaya namaha |

om padmanabhaya namaha |

om damodaraya namaha |

om sri krisanaya namaha |

om vāsudevāya namaha |

om pradyumnayah namaha |

om aniruddhaya namaha |

om purusottamāya namaha |

om adhoksajaya namaha |

om narasiṁhāya namaha |

om acyutaya namaha |

om janardanāya namaha |

om upemdraya namaha |

om haraye namaha |

sri krisnaya namaha ||”

Pranayamah

Take spoonful of water in your hand after spelling below mantra then drop that water from your hand in a plate

“Om pranavasya parabrahma rsih |

 paramatmadevata |

daivi gayatri chandah |

 pranayame viniyogah ||”

“Om bhuha | om bhuvaha | om svaha | om mahaha| om janaha | om tapaha| om satyam | om tatsaviturvarenyam bhargodevasya dhīmahī dhiyo yo naha prachodayāth || Om apojyoti rasomrtam brahma bhurbhuvassuvarom ||”

Now Offer (akshintalu) Akshata and flower petals to Lord Ganesha’s idol/picture

Continuously offer (akshintalu) Akshat or flower petals to the Lord Ganesha’s idol/picture

“Sumukhasca ekadmtasca kapilo gajakarnakah |
Lambodarasca vikato vighna naso gahādhipah || ”
“Dhumraketurganadhyakso balacandro gajananah |
Dvadasaitani namani yah pathet srunuyadapi ||”
“Vidyarambhe vivahe ca pravese nirgame tatha |
Samgrame sankatascaiva vighnah tasya na jayate ||”
“Suklambaradharam devam sasivarnam caturbhujam |
Prasanna vadanam dhyayet sarva vighnopa samtaye ||”
“Sarvamangala mangalye sive sarvartha sadhike |
Saranye trayambake devi narayani namostute ||”
“Sarvada sarva karyesu nasti teasam amangalam |
Yesam hrdistho bhagavan mangalayatano harih ||”
“Tadeva lagnam sudinam tadeva tārābalam camdrabalam tadeva |
Vidya balam daivabalam tadeva padmavatipateh temghri yugam smarāmi ||”
“Labhastesm jayastesam kutastesam parajayah |

Sankalpah

Hold flowers or flower petals, Akshata (akshintalu) , coin, water drops, betel nut in your both of the hands and offer them after spelling below mantra.

“Om purvokta evam guna visesana visistayam subhapunyatithau mama atmanah sruti-smrti-puranokta phala-praptyartham mama sa-kutumbasya ksema sthairya ayu-rrogya caturvidha purusartha sidhyartham dipavalilaksmi pujam aham karisye ||”

“Idam phalam mayadeva sthapitam puratastava |
tena me saphalavaptirbhavet janmani janmani ||”

After completing Lord Ganesh puja, we will do Mahalakshmi puja

Goddess Maha Lakshmi Puja

Goddess Maha Lakshmi, she is Goddess of wealth and richness. She blesses her devotees with boundless of wealth in life. Goddess Lakshmi is represented to offer gold, silver and infinite money coming out from grace of her hands. Thus, it is very important to worship goddess Lakshmi Devi during Diwali and also, Lakshmi Pooja meant important role in Diwali pooja vidhi. The method of invocation to adore Goddess Maha Lakshmi is given below.

Offer akshata after spelling each mantra that given below

“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | avahayami |”

“Om namo mahālaksmyai namah | dhyayami | dhyanam samarpayami |”

“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | avahanam Samarpayami |”

“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | asanam samarpayāmi |” (Now offer flowers or flower petals and akshata)
“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | padyam samarpayāmi |” (Now sprinkle some water drops)
“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | arghyam samarpayami |” (Now offer flowers or flower petals, water drops and akshata)
“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | acamaniyam samarpayami |” (Now offer spoonful water)
“Om namo mahālaksmyai namah | snanam samarpayami |” (Now offer spoonful water)

 

Now, chant below mantra for 108 times and while chanting mantra keep offering Panchamrutham over goddess Lakshmi idol or Lakshmi coins. If you don’t have Lakshmi coins, you can use regular rupee coins etc.

“Om Namo mahālakmyai namaha”

After chanting the above mantra, pour clean water on idol or coil. Cleanse and put them again in Puja plate.

“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | abhiseka snānam samarpayami |” (Now offer spoonful of water)
“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | achamaniyam samarpayami |” (Again offer spoonful water)
“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | vastram samarpayami |” (Now offer Akshata and flower petals or flowers)
“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | camdanam samarpayami |” (Now offer Chandan)
“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | parimala dravyam samarpayami |” (Now offer Kumkum to the goddess)
“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | puspani samarpayami |” (Now offer flowers or flower petals)

 

Lakshmi Ashtottara Shatanamavali

 

Read ashtottara shatanamavali then follow the below  Mantras

“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | dhupam samarpayami |” (Offer dhoop/agarbatti)
“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | dipam samarpayāmi |” (Show lighted lamp)
“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah| naivedyam samarpayami |” (Offer naivedyam)
“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | tambulam samarpayami |” (Offer betel leaf and betel nuts)
“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | phalam samarpayami |” (Offer fruits)

Goddess Mahalakshmi Aarti

The final stage of pooja is Aarti it is must sing Arathi at end of the pooja you can sing Ganesh Aarti or Mahalakshmi Aarti. Through singing Aarti, devotees show reverence inclined toward the goddess/god (deity). Offering Aarti is one way to adore God/Goddess. For completely delighting Goddess Mahalakshmi during the Diwali Pooja, must offer Mahalakshmi Aarti.

Light all the lamps and sing Mahalakshmi Aarati

“Om namo mahalakshmyai namaha | artikyam samarpayami |” (Offer arati for three times)
“Om namo mahalakshmyai namah | mantrapuspam samarpayāmi|” (Now offer flowers)
“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah | pradaksinan namaskaran samarpayami |” (Do pradaksina and offer akshata and flowers)
“Om namo mahalaksmyai namah| sarva rājopacārān samarpayāmi|” (Now offer Akshata)
“Anaya pujaya Mahalakshmi priyatam ||”

Mahalakshmi pooja is finished; place all the diyas on different corners of the house. Distribute goddess Lakshmi Prasad and take blessings from deities
