Capsicum Masala Recipe South Indian Style

Ingredients for Capsicum Masala Recipe

  • Capsicum – 2 (chopped)
  • Coriander seeds -2 tbsp
  • Grated Coconut – 1 tbsp
  • Dry chilli – 1
  • Sesame Seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Groundnuts – ½ cup
  • Jeera – ½ Tsp
  • Onion – 1(finely chopped)
  • Garlic – 2 cloves (finely chopped)
  • Chilli powder – ½ tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – a pinch
  • Lemon juice – ½ tsp
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Water – 1 cup

Method

  • Heat a pan, dry roast the coriander seeds, grated coconut, dry chilli and Sesame Seeds for a couple of minutes and let it cool.
  • As it becomes cool blend it in a blender and make a fine powder, now add Groundnuts in the blender and make a fine powder of it
  • Heat oil in a pan, add jeera, onions, garlic and capsicum, and fry them on a medium flame for few minutes
  • Now add turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and masala powder, cook it for couple of minutes
  • Add lemon juice and water; cook it for few more minutes on medium flame
  • Serve it in a serving bowl
