How to Make Bheje ke Cutlet Recipe

Ingredients for Bheje ke Cutlet Recipe

  • Potato – 500 gm (boiled and peeled)
  • Black pepper – 1 Tsp
  • Virgin olive oil – 1/2 cup
  • Lamb Brain – 4 pieces
  • Vinegar – 2 Tbsp
  • Chana dal – 50 gm (roasted and crushed to paste)
  • Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
  • Salt as required


  • Take a bowl, mash the boiled potatoes and then mix with 1 tbsp vinegar, 1/2 tsp black pepper, chana dal paste and salt
  • For the stuffing, heat oil in a deep pan and fry onions till they become golden brown in colour
  • Cook it on a low flame and add clean brains of lamb, constantly stirring till the mixture become brown and aromatic
  • Now add the remaining black pepper, vinegar and salt to taste
  • Take small portions of mashed potatoes and flatten them into small circles, fill the circles with cooked lamb brain mixture, gently close the top and deep fry the cutlets in the pan until they become golden brown in colour
  • Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney
